So about a month ago, I shipped my engagement ring back to Illinois (where it was made) to an amazing jeweler so that he could customize a matching wedding band. I have had anxiety about it ever since. Two days ago he emailed Kyle to say it was finished and he was shipping it back. I am super excited to see the wedding band but I am even more excited to get my engagement ring back on my finger! The jeweler provided Kyle with a tracking number and of course he decided to track it. Yesterday it said it was delivered! Good news right? Nope. It said it was delivered in some small town in Iowa! We in fact live in Arizona. Kyle decided to make a few phone calls before telling me about it, chivalry isn’t dead FYI. After not being able to get a hold of the jeweler he decided to let me in on the news. Very uncharacteristically, I did not freak out. Yes, it concerned me but I figured this guy knows what he is doing and he wouldn’t have sent our rings to Iowa. Also if anyone is going to mess up, it is better it is the jeweler and not us. The guy is typically hard to get a hold of and so after a long day/night of hearing nothing, Kyle finally got an email from him saying he accidentally sent the wrong tracking number! Which I thought was hilarious and a well played joke. Even though it was not meant to be a joke, I give him credit none the less. In the midst of wedding planning stress, we all need a laugh. Thank you for that Mr. Jeweler.
Anyway, today I have some ribbon love for you. Why? Ribbon is inexpensive, versatile, and it can be really beautiful. Plus it comes in about every possible color and is generally on sale at Hobby Lobby. Here is what you can do with a little ribbon…
Chair covers can be pricey and they don’t always go with the decor. Ribbons can do wonders to dress up a plain chair!
That tree is ridiculously amazing all on it’s own but the ribbon gives it an even more impressive whimsical look! I am in love with everything about that ceremony site!
Don’t have anything to ground your space? Need a wall, but don’t have one? Make one out of ribbons!! I found this picture on the Every Last Detail Blog and I think it is the epitome of what ribbons can do at your wedding! Tell me that isn’t amazing with the beach peeking through!

Even lighting can be made more dramatic with ribbons! The possibilities are endless really! How do you feel about ribbons?
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Kudos to you for not freaking out at the potentially mis-delivered wedding and engagement ring!! I don’t think I would have kept my cool like you!!
i love ribbon…especially that chandelier. so gorg!
love the ribbons and glad you got your ring situation sorted out! it’s great when you don’t freak out, especially when it turns out to be nothing. no embarrassingly humble “sorry i lost it”‘s required.
p.s. my feed somehow got disconnected from your blog!? i was all – what?! i haven’t been to her corner of the web in a MINUTE. sorry for the absence. glad to be back.
