I am loving all the Valentine’s posts going around lately. I think Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday not because of the actual day or the expensive roses, but because I love all the bright, cheery decor and all the love! You will never find stores more stocked with hearts and love related goodness than now. So planning Brides- take note! Now is the time to stock up on hearts and cutesy things that you could use either for your wedding or even as props in your engagement shoots. You might be tempted to wait until afterward when every thing is on clearance but I don’t suggest it. Clearance racks are generally picked over and unless you want heart shaped Peeps or goo filled chocolates, don’t wait for the sales! Many places -like Michaels and Hobby Lobby- are already offering great sales. Go get your supplies while the getting is good! With that being said… I have gathered my favorite little crafts from around the web that you can use for your wedding or just for Valentine’s Day!
This adorable little cupcake tag (via Michael’s) would be super cute attached to wedding favors or handmade Valentine’s treats.
This pretty little heart wreath is easy to make and would look great hanging in various places at your wedding venue. You could even make a little one for your flower girl to carry. Via Martha Stewart.
This is cute for just about anytime! Martha Stewart (or her peeps more likely) made these votive holders using lace, a balloon and fabric stiffener. The options are endless here ladies!
You could fill these with candy or flowers! Via Martha Stewart.
How cute would this be as a back drop for photos? Via Martha Stewart.
This could make for an AMAZING favor! Of course you could change the colors to fit your palette! Via Martha Stewart.
and last but not least…
Some of my favorite suggestions: candy molds and felt hearts. Candy molds make for super easy, super cute favors and felt hearts can be used in various ways from garlands to embellishments on napkins. Trust me- go browse your craft store’s Valentine’s Day selection and you are sure to find some great items you can use for your wedding regardless of when it actually is!
Who is going to get crafty this weekend? There are so many easy things you can make and like I said, now is the time to buy supplies! Happy Crafting!
