Thank you all for your fabulous commentary on yesterday’s post including those of you who commented via Facebook or Twitter. I think we came to the conclusion that the writer of the trends post knows absolutely nothing about weddings and may not actually have been invited to one since 1995. I think we also agreed that her most off based comments dealt with still life photography and laid back wedding styles. My Grandma even chimed in via email to report that she wished she had a few still life images from her wedding. She carried a Bible and a single orchid down the aisle and would love to have a photo of that somewhere among her pictures. She is also an advocate for disposable cameras as I knew she would be. I even considered adding the disclaimer that disposable cameras are completely acceptable for Grandmothers just for her benefit. But overall the main consensus is that a wedding should be whatever you want it to be and no jilted guest or bitter blogger should be able to dictate what is outdated, overdone, or inappropriate for YOUR day.
With all that being said, I felt it was even more crucial to pay homage to some of my favorite still shots…shoes.

Wouldn’t that be a perfect shoe shot to use as office art? I sure would frame other people’s shoe shots.
