Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got the chance to ring in the New Year just the way you wanted to! Kyle and I- well we stayed home. In fact we watched a movie and perfectly timed it to be over by 11:45 so that we could watch the ball drop. And then, we went to bed! Getting married ages you ten years, be careful. Yesterday we went to workout in a gym for the first time in over a year (the membership was a Christmas gift). 2011 will be the year for my abs, I promise you that! We’ve set some personal and professional goals and we have reflected on all the wonderful things that were accomplished in 2010. Now we are ready. Our only resolution: Make plans for next New Year’s Eve that doesn’t involve Shrek. (Yeah, the movie we watched was Shrek 2, don’t judge.)
Without question the most searched for term that landed people on my blogĀ in 2010 was “Burlap.” I can’t blame those searchers, I love it too! Burlap is so versatile, very economical and it adds this warm touch to weddings that can not be achieved by any other material, in my opinion. From ring pillows to table runners to bouquet wraps, the uses are limitless. In addition due to it’s neutral nature it can fit well into almost all themes and color palettes. I created this little inspiration board to show you how gorgeous burlap can be and because I know you love it. Consider it my New Year Gift to you!
Are you incorporating burlap into your wedding? In what way?
