The talent and creativity of the blogging community never ceases to amaze me. But every once in awhile you come across an unexpected talent that blows your mind. Enter Sam- the brains behind The Frosted Petticoat. It turns out she has a knack for blending two completely opposite people into gorgeous wedding inspiration. This was discovered when Jenna of Heartcarry Press realized she had a “If Jane Austen Married Willy Wonka” board on Pinterest. It was then that we decided that we (Jenna and I) would come up with an unlikely duo and see if Sam was up to the challenge of joining the two in unlikely matrimony. My pick- Captain Jack Sparrow. Jenna’s pick- Anne of Green Gables. The result:
You never thought that a Sparrow-Shirley marriage could be so gorgeous, did you?! For those couples out there that are complete opposites, and perhaps even meet some resistance or skepticism on whether their love will last- this here is proof that even the most unexpected of romances can be beautiful. Relationships aren’t about liking all the same things but rather about two people being perfect for each other and the beautiful results that come from the combination of the unique aspects of each individual If Anne just married Gilbert- as per the literary plan- this board would be pretty boring, don’t you think?
