Gifts That Give Back- Round 3

We are getting into Holiday crunch time! In one week it will be Christmas Eve Eve! Don’t think its too late though to fulfill your shopping to do list with this new set of goodies that give back!

This gorgeous and best selling Mia Coach bag will help fight breast cancer. 20% of the purchase price of the pink colored Mia Bag goes to Breast Cancer Research. Coach bags that give back- sounds like a match made in heaven! No need to feel guilty about purchasing this $358 purse!

Give the gift of water by giving someone the opportunity to be an advocate for the water crisis that exists in the world today. This $80 package includes a Water T-Shirt, A Thermos Hydration Bottle, 5 Wristbands and a DVD. My suggestion- Keep one wrist band, give the other four to a friend along with a note that suggests that they watch the DVD, keep one bracelet, and then pass the rest along with the DVD to someone else. It will create a chain of people that will learn about the valuable work Charity: Water does. 100% of your money will go to fund water projects. $80 will provide 4 people with fresh, clean water for 20 years.

Cops for Cancer is an organization of Canadian Police Officers that raise money for pediatric cancer research and programs that help families affected by pediatric cancer. This dessert cookbook is filled with 80 different dessert recipes from various families along with stories about children who have faced cancer. All the proceeds of this book go directly towards their cause. $14.95 on Amazon.

These items from Kohl’s are some of my favorite Gifts that Give Back. For $5 each you can buy a book and a corresponding stuffed animal and 100% of net profits will go to fund kids’ health and education initiatives. I like to buy the animals for my dog and always try to think of a kid that I could buy a set for when I am at Kohl’s! They change the books often so there are many to collect! Who wouldn’t want a Wocket?

Give the gift of relaxation with one of Aveda’s Gift of Hope sets. Each set includes a Gift of Hope Tagua Nut accessory which is made by indigenous women in Colombian Rainforests. Aveda’s alliance with the indigenous people of Colombia helps 400 families and helps preserve 400 acres of Rainforest. The accessories made by these women are sold and they are able to support their families. Rainforests are being destroyed at a rate of one soccer field every 4 seconds. This is especially concerning considering they absorb 1/5 of CO2 emissions created by humans and help curtail the effects of climate change. Think Avatar/Fern Gulley and then go buy some Shampoo!

You can catch up on Round 1 and Round 2 in case you missed them!

Along with these gifts you can also shop the Hope Gift Book, a catalog of gifts that all benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital!
