The Little Things

I am proud to say that the majority of the big wedding components are booked and settled on. I feel very relieved and I keep saying, I just have the little details left. However while it is fantastic to have the main elements out of the way, the little things are just as crucial to the big day. Enter Kim of KD Event Designs, an interior designer by trade turned wedding designer extraordinaire. Her responsibility involves all the “little things.” To give you a brief one line description of what an event designer does, as I had no idea originally, she is responsible for transforming your vision into an amazing reality. She coordinates with the florist, caterer, the rental company, and even your invitations to pull everything together into a cohesively stunning sort of way that only a professional could do. She creates the mood, the ambiance if you will and you know how important that is! It’s not just about decorating, its about pulling everything together to make your day everything you dreamed it would be. Her job is to strap your stress on her shoulders and handle all the details so you can relax and enjoy it! To put it mildly, her job is HUGE. In addition she incorporates some planning and organizing into the mix which can include assisting at the rehearsal, making sure you look fabulous while walking down the aisle, and making sure everyone else you hired is doing their jobs accordingly. She is like your wedding insurance, adhering to every last “little detail” to insure overall perfection! Impressive, I know. An event designer is especially crucial if your venue isn’t inclusive of the other elements like tables, chairs, food, and decor. When you bring together that many vendors, the potential for disorganization increases. Is it necessary to have one? Only if you want to relax on your wedding day and keep your focus on getting ready and enjoying it. You know, just those “little things.” Now, let me show you the talent:

See what I mean? She brings the awe factor, the wows! She makes all those little things stand out in an effort to create the perfect backdrop for your dream day. Your talents AMAZE me Kim!
